ABOUT

The Session began on Monday August 23rd when Emilio and fellow Sublime Tribute band mate Nick met and jammed with guitar player Taylor, and singer Ryan. They all shared a passion for performing as well and more importantly for Reggae music.

Within minutes of playing together for the first time they realized they had something worth pursuing and decided then and there that a band would come out of this original meeting.

Ads were placed on Craigslist as well as the word of mouth, began the search for more members.

After a couple of months Candice was added as a backup vocal to Ryan yet quickly proved herself very worthy and capable of handling leads as well and therefore opening new doors and possibilities of songs they could not only cover but write.

Anthony joined shortly after. Adding a very experienced and well versed Trombone player to the mix and again knocking down a new door of possible songs. Now with the beginning of a horn section the growing group began learning more songs of the Cali-Reggae/Roots/Rock genre.

The final pieces of the puzzle were added shortly after. Joe and Dave completed the group with Joe on Tenor Sax and Dave on Keyboards. Now the band could enjoy the freedom of picking and choosing popular covers as well as writing songs that feature not only back up vocals but horns and the very critical bubblin’ keys allowing them no limitations!

With a few months under their belts they will be all but ready to explode onto the live music scene both public, and private. So buckle your seatbelts and be ready to dance, skank, and sing along to your (and their!) favorite classics , and modern Reggae hits with The Session in 2011 and beyond!
