ABOUT

Kurt Crasper has certainly paid his dues, having started his musical career in 1974, playing his part in the San Francisco Haight-Ashbury music revolution. However, Kurt’s musical journey has not been an easy one, as he has endured both the mind blowing highs and heart wrenching lows of the music industry.
He recorded at a studio called the Church in San Anselmo, CA and later at Super Sound in Monterey, the Record Plant in LA and Audio Voyage in Livermore. In San Francisco, Kurt had a band called Spanky and the Honolulu Dogs and opened for Coke Escovido, Gregg Kihn, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley and others. The band played in all the blues clubs on Grant Street in San Francisco. Soon, Kurt started another band called the Bootleggers with Richard Treese, Steve Barsotti, Marin Red, Doug Kennedy and Coke Escovido. The group played together for several years in the early to mid 80's. In November 2006, Kurt hooked up with Johnny Gunn along with old friends Ira Walker and The Passion Pirates to finish the Wolftickets record he had been working on for a couple years.
On October 20th, 2007 Kurt was notified that The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences had placed him on the official Ballot for the 2008 Grammy Awards in the following categories: Category 6, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance entry 028 for the song "Ramp Tramp" and Category 11 Kurt Crasper, Ira Walker & Johnny Gunn were placed for Best Pop Vocal Album entry 047 For the 2007 release Wolftickets
Kurt Crasper plans on recording a lot more music. He has already recorded 2 albums and is currently recording another album.
You can download Kurt Crasper/Wolftickets on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and Reverbnation among a few. The Wolftickets is a fun band that enjoys what they do. It's all about puttin' smiles on people's faces and gettin' them to shake their asses a little.
