I've rekindled my drumming interests at the age of 44. I am a relative beginner but I believe I have natural abilities. Willing to learn and practice daily. Willing to invest time and money.

Influences
I'm trying all different types of music. I seem to have the ability to drum some basic rock classics, hard beats and mixed beats, jazz, funk, soul, R&B seems to be somewhat natural to me. I don't know how good I am but non-musicians tell me
I sound very good for a virtual beginner.
I played for 2 years in college and learned a little acoustic guitar too. The only reason I am taking this big step is I believe I have some natural talent drumming and love improv as a compliment to other musicians and vocalists. I am impressed w/ drummer from Dave Matthews Band and love to use those heavy spray sticks. Lately, I've been putting in at least 2-3 hrs daily. First hour just warming up and hammering away. Then try drumming to various music types.
