The Big Sound is ALL ABOUT PLAYING OUR OWN ORIGINALS. Although you can hear the influences, from R&B, southern rock, classic rock, acoustic, country, even jam and indie, The Big Sound is a family, and each song writing session starts out as a blank page. We want to expand even further musically, branching out in new territories, layering in the flavors of reggae, funk, more jam. Our new drummer will help bring us to the next level by playing a wide variety of styles, and being musical.

30 year song-writing veteran Jerry McCall writes honest, poignant and authentic lyrics that touch the common thread we all experience, and sings them with his wonderful, soulful voice. JT's rock background comes out in his graceful licks and shredding solos. Michael is an all-around musician; arranger and bass player for The Big Sound, he also plays a mean slide guitar and drums on his side projects, and wants to start adding some slide into our sets.
