BRE is a group of beings with a potent strain of future-thinking that allows the bunch to issues shows and sounds that don’t subscribe to recognized formulae and mechanic regularity. The full-length performances recall the ambition and vision of many older masters while at the same time look unflinchingly towards the beyond!
The hope is that the rhythmic beats exist to tell universal truths that awaken us from everyday hibernations. An experiment that can only be experienced

Influences

The Blue Roots began as a trio in 2012 and has since evolved into a sextet that embraces the stylistic and rhythmic elements of hip-hop whilst simultaneously rooting itself in traditional jazz language. The Experiment was added to the name when lyricist Jordan Clark joined in September 2013. Equally influenced by both JDilla and Dizzy Gillespie, we are creating never before heard sounds and hope to spread them across the globe.
