ABOUT

We are and established cover band seeking one to two talented lead vocalists. We are an established cover band that plays at venues all over town with occasional regional gigs. Our shows are mostly on weekends but we do have an occasional weeknight show (with plenty of notice). All of us have been playing together in different variations for years and cover everything from Bon Jovi to Bruno Mars with some country and a few 70s-era dance tunes (think Kool & The Gang or Earth Wind and Fire), as we are looking to add more corporate gigs this year. We are all in our 30s and 40s, have careers, love to joke around and have fun, and are like family and we are looking for similar people to join us. We are all spread out over the north and south ends of town and rehearse at a number of places including the Rhythm Room, Rock Center, a north side office, or wherever we can arrange space and time. Here is what we are looking for: We are looking for at least one top-notched singer, or possibly one male and one female vocalist to help expand the variety of music we can offer. We have previously worked with both in this band. This means that you may have to share vocal duties if we go with two singers so you will need to be be comfortable with this and be open to singing backing vocals or playing a tambourine, etc. We are fully stocked on guitar players so we don't really have any extra room on stage for another. If you can play keys, this is a huge plus. We average around six shows per month and we don't want to have to compete with other bands for your availability so please plan on making this your primary project. We also need people with strong, versatile voices that can get the audience dancing and having an interactive great time. Because of this, it is preferred that you are not glued to an iPad or a music stand, as this distracts from the show and prevents you from being out in the crowd rocking faces. If you are shy and just stand in one spot for the entire show, this is probably not the project for you. You also have to look the part. By this we mean that you need to dress decent for the shows and not look like someone who just rolled out of bed. We all have to look presentable. We will also need to pitch in for promotional items on occasion so please plan on reinvesting some of the band pay to this. We supply our own PA, monitors, wireless mics, etc. and since we split pay equally, you will be expected to help set up and tear down (don't worry, it doesn't take very long). Finally, you have to have a sense of humor and want to have fun. We spend a lot of time together so no drama and no ***holes. If this sounds like your kind of project, feel free to respond. Everybody that responds says they can do this so show us something that proves to us that you are the best person for the job and you will get an immediate response. Videos that show you have raw talent and are versatile will get moved to the front of the line. We prefer people with experience, as this is ultimately a business and we are looking to get back on stage within a matter of weeks so we don't have really have the time to spend trying to get someone up to par. This will actually be a relaxed atmosphere but we just want to be upfront so we can find the right person or persons that are a fit for our band family and will stick around for a while. We don't want to waste anybody's time, including our own. We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
