The music Mess has been writing for the past couple years has been done under a couple of bands he’s worked with over the years. Mess started out with this band High Expecations, a psychedelic rock band that broke up before their first gig. Mess then began going to open mics here and there but couldn’t find the right crowd, so he isolated himself and began working on the Have A Nice Day album that was meant to be his second band’s debut album. Unfortunately the band members again, could not commit so Mess ended up only finishing half the album by himself. He became frustrated with life interrupting his music career so he packed everything in his car and left for Portland. He got a job as a cook and slept in his car, playing at the Turnstyle Thirsdays every now and then. Slowly but surely, he made an album that captured the essence of a human who struggles with no resolve, Breezy he called it. Mess eventually lost everything in Portland and went to stay with his grandparents in Bryant Pond where he finished Breezy and released it as his debut album under The Laughing Chamber.
