Thelmo Rego is a guitarist/instrumentalist rising from the Massachusetts metal scene. After many years playing in Mass metal bands including the very popular band Embrance, Thelmo moved to Florida and started releasing solo instrumental albums. His first solo album entitled InstruMetal was released Nov 2012 and displayed his love of metal and progressive rock. Combining the prog elements with the metal core and thrash metal, InstruMetal is a well rounded instrumental album with moments of intensity as well as moments of beautiful complexity. Thelmo wrote, performed, or programed all instruments on the album as well as produced and engineered the album on his own giving the listener a very personal aspect into the mind of Thelmo Rego. His new album PROGress was released November of 2016 and pushed the envelope of combining prog and metal even further by adding keyboards and orchestration to the mix and going even further into complex soundscapes and prog while getting even heavier at times with the introduction of 7 sting guitar to some songs. Thelmo currently is looking for a band as playing live music again is his passion.
