ABOUT
We formed The Occident early in 2013 as a simple acoustic duo - two guys with acoustic guitars. We both sing and write songs (Chad sings lead, Josh plays lead guitar). Our influiences include by bands like Incubus, Taking Back Sunday and Bayside, but we also listen to a wide range of musical styles and genres. We just enjoy writing and playing fun pop-rock songs.
We're looking for an experienced and committed bass guitar player and a drummer. Currently, we're playing the NYC open mic circuit in Manhattan and Queens and playing shows throughout the City.
