ABOUT

The Real Deal is a Pittsburgh band of veteran musicians originally formed to help out a friend with an annual Fathers Day picnic and show. We were all in other bands and this was supposed to be a one time affair. The "one time affair" went so well, we decided to become a regular band. Over time the band has taken on its' own identity. We are not necessarily a "concept" band, but play material that we perform well and that is well received by the audience. The band members encompass a broad range of musical styles and tastes. This has helped us to evolve into a band playing a diverse array of music consisting of Classic Rock, Blues and R & B. The talent level in the band enables us to perform material other bands do not, but still keep in a few of the favorites of Pittsburgh fans. As experienced musicians, we have learned to put our personal musical preferences in the "backseat" for the sake of the band while still maintaining individual input. We enjoy playing and want you to enjoy listening to us. Audience reaction is our main criteria for keeping or dropping material. We rehearse regularly and are constantly working on new material and polishing existing songs. We record every show and rehearsal to help us evaluate each song. Over the last year, we have played festivals, picnics, benefits, parties and clubs. With each show, our following increases. Those who have seen us describe us as a fun band that genuinely enjoys performing onstage. If you want to enjoy a night of entrainment with a competent band that is not your typical "classic rock " band, check out The Real Deal.
