Band to Join.

ABOUT

Hi there! My name is Jesse. I'm 41, a Gemini, INTJ, semi-professional viking, and proud father of 9 cats (most of them have different moms but none of them are in the picture and I have custody of all of them).

I'm looking to either join an established band, start a new one, or just jam with some people at open mics or something.

I've been playing music since I was 10. My primary instrument is euphonium and secondary is trombone. Tertiary is bass guitar. I played all of these in university ensembles in college. I play a couple more, but those are the ones I'm best at.

I haven't really been in rock bands since college, and that's why I'm here. I really want to be a vocalist because I do karaoke and people tell me I'm good at it, and nobody's ever said that about my bass playing lol.

My natural range is bass/baritone/bass-baritone but nobody ever wants me to sing that when I accidentally let them know I can do other stuff. I have a good ear for learning/remembering melodies and harmonizing on the fly.

I have a day job and am mostly pretty boring. I like beer but don't really drink much or often. I don't like to be drinking if I'm doing a gig.

I have long hair and am reasonably fit. I'm unmarried/no human kids and I'm okay-looking enough that women notice me but I am not really interested in dating or hooking up or whatever, so I feel like that's probably the ideal unicorn situation to have in a frontman. I'm also 5'6", so I won't block anyone else on stage, which I feel is also a win for everyone.

Aside from music, my hobbies are what I call "art adjacent." I do leatherworking, woodworking, historical costuming, regular costuming, drawing, graphic design, etc. I go to comic/anime conventions sometimes. My day job is software development.
