We are a Los Angeles based progressive metal band called The Through Line and we recently lost our founding drummer to a move out of state and are actively seeking a replacement!
We are looking for a replacement MEMBER not a session/touring drummer. We want someone who will be a part of the band family and take active part in our writing process.
This is not a paying gig. This is to find a new member and then play paying gigs.
Our debut EP "A Glimpse Into The Void" is available on all major streaming platforms such as Spotify/Apple Music/Amazon/Google Play as well as Band Camp and has a taste of our sound.
We are looking for a drummer who is skilled in writing/playing metal music including but not limited to, double-bass, blast beats, odd time signatures, varying tempos. We want someone who is very competent in their skills and is comfortable learning new material quickly and efficiently.

We usually practice weekly at Amp Rehearsal in North Hollywood and are aiming to play local shows around the LA area. Please have your own drum set (or access to one for shows) but the rehearsal space also has backline drum kits.
We have 7 or 8 songs finished with more in the writing process and excited to get back to playing shows. Please reach out if you are interested! We will likely want you to learn the two songs on our EP in order to get a feel for your playing and if you are able to work with the material.
