ABOUT
This is Versailles was founded by independent feature filmmaker Jaisen Ehas in 2008, whose vision for a contemporary and confrontational hybrid of Post-Punk, Shoegaze and Hard Rock has quickly transformed into a formidable and dynamic presence on the Chicago music scene. Joined by co-vocalist and bassist Caitlin Garibaldi and drummer Steve Pahl, This is Versailles creates infectious melodies and visceral beats in a landscape of sirens, heavy artillery, mob chants and tumbling idols. Both polished and abrasive, regimented and unruly, their music blurs the boundary between the party and the riot.
