Band to Join, Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar, Other Percussion, Violin, Other, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Upright bass, Cello.ABOUT
Playing over 62 years. Now forming my 44 year bucket list band Dr. Scott that will eventually morph into Dr. Scott's Medicine Show - a traveling minstrel/medicine show set in the 1880 - 1910 second Industrial Revolution. The powerful, percussive, spontaneous, traveling minstrel, Celtic Country Bluegrass Latin melting-pot sound of Dr. Scott will be like no other. Period dress and character development included.
Dr. Scott requires creative, accomplished vocals, hurdy gurdy, hammered dulcimer/percussion, Celtic/bluegrass violin, upright bass and/or cello, mandolin/banjo/acoustic guitar/ukulele.
If you feel musically unfulfilled, tired of the same ol', disillusioned, disappointed and willing to seriously embrace something entirely different, get in contact with me and let's discuss. Dr. Scott is difficult to describe in this space, but the time is ripe for this.
Responsibility, dedication, creativity and open mind required.

"Technology is exploding at a logarithmic rate. Currently, our lives are bombarded with global information, transportation, communication, finance and convenience. Not very long ago, hope, spirit and sacrifice led our immigrant ancestors to abandon everything they had and come to America where most were thankful to simply survive for another day. Their immense struggle that built this nation fades with each successive and complacent generation.
Set in the 1880's second industrial revolution, Dr. Scott's Medicine Show will share our ancestor's hardships through cohesive song and dance while taking one on an interactive, emotional, visual and sonic voyage. Dr. Scott's intent is to make you laugh, stand up, shout, dance, cry, touch your heart, count your blessings, hug your cherished and say "I love you"; because life is so very fragile and short. Participating in the show is the medicine. Embracing its message is the cure."
