Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Background Singer.

I'm an experienced and committed - but not fanatical - bass player with some backing vocals who's looking to put together a cover/tribute band to do some fairly regular gigging. I'm not looking to do this professionally; more like practicing once a week and gigging out 2-3-4 times a month.

For the last couple years I've been involved in a local cover band playing out 1-2 times a month and recently left that project. Now I'm looking for something with clear direction. Which is why I'm aiming for more the tribute band route. My background is primarily the hair metal genre (Poison, Crue, LA Guns, Guns N Roses, etc), the classic British metal genre (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest), and good old fashioned classic rock (Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Styx, etc). Plus there are a lot of bands that don't truly fall solidly into blanket categories (Cult, Alice In Chains, etc) as well as newer bands that I like (Black Veil Brides, Crashdiet, Panic! at the Disco, etc.). There's really a LOT I like and get motivated to play. So it would be great to put something together that has a specific band or genre delivery in mind.

However....I'm also open to non-tribute cover bands and bands playing originals. It's all good.

See above. Plus a whole lot more than I have room to list here. In a nutshell, though: 80's hair metal, classic Brit metal, classic rock, newer rock... It's a really deep well that I draw from. If it's good (even if some of it isn't good), I've been influenced by it.
