I have been playing music for a long time and my first instrument was a guitar but as soon as I found a bass I knew it was for me. I thrive on rhythm and melody. I have a keen interest in funky bass, though not necessarily the genre of "funk" per se (but I sure find it a beautiful sector of musical artform). My experience with other instruments has really just given me a feel for fitting things together. I still love guitar but bass is natural.
I would love to start a new project with other musicians who might understand what I mean by that. The bass is integral to any tight sound and so I try to accomplish just that. However, it also lays low and is not the forerunner in an ansemble. Potent, groovy and rhythmic, but discrete and textural is how I view the instrument.

Influences
I am influenced by any music that you can feel your way through. I listen to a lot of hip hop, jazz and groovy stuff, but I like anything original and new so I've been known to dabble in the weird stuff too (musically, that is). I like to weave through rhythmic textures and that is what influences me. It comes in many different flavors and is not a genre.
Non musical influences are quietness, solitude reflection. I am an avid hiker and that comes through in my general readiness for challenges and rhythm which is what hiking is all about.
