I’d like to form a Band. My Audio & Video Coming Soon - I play Rhythm Guitar and Sing. I do not read music and I play from Chords. If a Tune has Chords, I can play it; but I often don’t like published Chord Progressions and will use my own which are always better. Published Chords are often so Lame! I’d like to put together a 5-Person Band - Traditional 4-Person + Keys. I have never been in a Band. I enjoy playing and singing a wide variety of music. I esp LOVE the late 50’s Do Wop and R&B and we can bring that back by just playing it with the gusto I bring to it. I mean add some Brass and Horns and Violins and Cellos and Base Fiddle and WOW - the possibilities are endless. I will not be bored or boring. Anyway, I love all music and could blend in with most other Lovers of Music - well, maybe not All Country (I mean Total Country, sorry, no offense meant, just My Preference) or Heavy Metal (no offense meant again, just my Preferences). I’m a great Front Man with a strong voice with a good range, not Alto however. [Ok...I’m conceited, but you’ve got to have The Swagger or Forget About It. However, I also earned great grades in school for “Works Well and Cooperates With Others” and have continued that tradition.] When I was younger and just learning to play my 6-String Acoustic Guitar, I sang Solo Background Acoustic Guitar at various restaurants in the Clear Lake Area (“Sorry, No Requests unless it’s one of my 20 songs here in G ... and I have a Tip Jar here which, when full, I knock off.” That Tip Jar filled up very quickly and, strangely, I got the Most Applause when I announced that I was about to play my Last Song.) Now, I can play for 4 hours non-stop (well...ok, one bathroom break) and that’s what I like to do: Play through all my music. I regularly add new songs & latest is New Order’s “True Faith” - Great Drums and Bass Guitar and Keys, Luv It. Below under “Influences” I will enter a lot of my Playlist to show my variety. Wide Range of Genres. I sing and play what I like: Buddy Holly, Richard Valenzuela (Ritchie Valens), Dion (Esp “Come Go With Me” - I wail on that song), The Tokens (“The Lion Sleeps Tonight” - I wail on that song), Sam Cook, Ben E. King, Frankie Valli, Dick & Dee Dee (“Mountains High” - another wailing song), The Contours (“Do You Love Me”), The Penguins, The Platters, The Drifters, Otis Redding, Roy Orbison, The Beatles, Moody Blues, The Doors, Kenny Loggins, Police/Sting, Beach Boys (I actually like them and don’t think they are Rock Light), Denez Prigent (look him up - I meant “variety of music” - but even Denez uses Que Cards bc it gets so complicated), Dario G (“Voices”), Nat “King” Cole, Ray Charles, Fleetwood Mac (I’m a male Stevie Nicks & not at all Lindsey Buckingham, The Greatest Leadest Guitarist Ever...Ever), Simon and Garfunkel, Animals, New Order (esp. “True Faith”), “Miriah” from the musical “Oklahoma”, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Don McLean, Annie Lennox, “Streets of Laredo” (ok, I have a Cowboy Song and I like Traditional “Western Music” and would like to play and sing more but it usually requires others singing Harmony), Elvis, James Taylor — This is a good representation. I like to close with the Elvis Anthology: “Dixie” that folds into “Battle Hymn of the Republic” (I Luv that Song).
