I play bass and have always done lead vocals for a heavy-edge punk band. For the style I sing, I can hold a solid tune and keep a vocal melody going... but my vocal tends to hit the low end with some gravel. Kind of a Henry-Rollins-meets-Lars-Frederiksen sort of a thing.

I have enough bass gear to play a pretty good sized venue with no help from the house.
