I have good solid experience playing many styles, (but mostly pop, rock, soul).

I sing lead and have a good list of songs that I have performed many times. I also sing harmony/backups.
I focus on playing songs with the correct changes, rhythmic note patterns and feel/groove.

Influences

Popular Music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and some current hits, starting with the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Beach Boys and Motown and STAX Artists, then going backwards to Standards and classic Jazz and Latin Music. I have also played some Prog Rock and Metal. I have been influenced by almost every artist or songwriter who's songs I have learned.
I have my favorites, but I believe that there is a reason why a song and/or recording is popular. It's realizing and learning those reasons and techniques, be they the lyrics, the rhythm, the melodies, chord changes or the performance, that inspire and influence me as a musician.
