ABOUT

Hey, I'm a Katrina evacuee from the Greater New Orleans area who's looking for people to jam with in and around the Jackson area. I've been playing bass for about a year, my first foray into music after a layoff of a few years since playing flute/sax in my high school band. I've played harmonica for a few years, but have gotten more serious about my play in the last 5 months or so. All of us losing our houses gets me feeling the blues a little bit stronger, I suppose:) Drop me a line here---->Timewall

Influences

I feel it is almost sacrilegious to claim James Jamerson as an influence at this point in my young career, but I try my best with his lines and they are an absolute joy to play. Ditto to citing Jaco Pastorius as an influence. There are many others I try to emulate: Paul McCartney, Ashton "Family Man" Barrett(of Bob Marley & The Wailers), Marshall "Rock" Jones(of The Ohio Players), BB Dickerson(of War), Paul Simonon(of The Clash), John Paul Jones(of Led Zeppelin)...too many to list---on harp, John Popper is always a fun challenge to emulate, as is Sugar Blue(perhaps best known for his work on "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones)...all of the Chicago and Delta Blues greats...but my two favorites may be Lee Oskar(also of War) and Louisiana's own, Slim Harpo(who was covered by the Rolling Stones quite a few times)

EQUIPMENT

Peavey T-40 Bass, a tank that Katrina could not destroy, and a small Crate amp.
