I’ve been playing guitar since I was 16 and have mainly been drawn to metal music, but I’ve been exploring some melody and pop music lately. I was in a few different local original metal bands back in my youth, doing lead vocals and guitar. I haven’t played out in years, but I do miss it sometimes, though I’m a realist, it’s a lot of work for little to no money. I’m not against playing out, but I have a limited window, with work and family. I currently write & record at my studio, as much as I possibly can. I can also play bass, drums, and noodle around on the keyboard. My writing styles has been all over the place lately, everything from Death Metal to Punk to Progressive to Techno-pop. I’ve been experimenting with a lot of different vocal styles. While I do play drums, I program them using Toontracks Drumkit from Hell, Superior Drummer & Metal Foundry. It’s much faster for the writing process and I can’t come close to pulling off some of the beats!

Influences
Early influences were AC/DC, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura & Carcass. Lately I’ve been into Devin Townsend, Max Cavalera, Fear Factory & Lamb of God. I also appreciate The Beatles, Doors, Pink Floyd, DMB, NIN, Mitch Harris, Danzig, Sound Garden, Dethklok, Chris Adler & Gene Hogan. I’ve also been getting into some real poppy stuff lately, I blame my kids, but it’s actually really catchy stuff, so I’ve been trying to incorporate that into my latest couple of new songs. I also have a passion for acoustic guitar and think it would be fun to just play bass in a laid back project.
