ABOUT

For the last 3 years, I played bass for IDENTITY PROBLEM, a classic rock band in San Jose. When COVID hit and bars quit booking gigs, we managed to continue gigging by doing street parties and outdoor events. Couldn't let the pandemic kill the band!

My wife and I moved to Reno in late 2022, so I'd like to find a new group of musicians to play and gig with. I'm retired and in this for primarily fun, not to put bread on the table (well, beer money would be great).

In my college & post-college days, I played bass for the working rock band MIDNIGHT SUN until my sound engineering and venture capital careers got in the way. I also played keyboards for 10 years and the tuba in marching band, so I have a good music foundation and can read scores and transcribe lines (unfortunately, I haven't haven't had time to play keys in years, so I'm not good enough to play it in a band).

My working song list includes about 250 tunes that I've gigged on bass at one time or another. Groups include The Doors, The Beatles, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, The Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Cream, Creedence Clearwater, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, The Eagles, Imelda May, Mountain, James Gang, Jimi Hendrix, Mellencamp, Santana, Lady Antebellum, Bruce Springsteen, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Tommy Tutone, The Pretenders, Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, ZZ Top, and many others.
