ABOUT

Long story short - I am a pianist, singer/songwriter, arranger/composer, and amateur recording producer. I am 25 years old, and I just moved to St. Louis to further my education in ALL of these things at Webster University. I'm looking to sing and/or play in a band here in STL while I'm in school.

Short story long? Here we go:

I've played piano since i was young (Classical and jazz, my forte is jazz), but I've been really studying it for the past decade or so. I've been singing all my life, and i've been in various school choirs (concert choirs, jazz choirs, madrigal choirs, show choirs, barbershop ensembles) for over ten years.

I've been gigging in bands for about 5-6 years. I also compose and write songs you can listen to some of my collaborative work with my band SoulField. (:///soulfield4) SoulField is currently on hiatus, but I am still recording demos of our original songs in the meantime. I've also been playing and singing in church for a little over four years

My main style is jazz/soul, but i love to mix in other styles like latin, funk, rock, blues, r&b. . .

Right now I'm looking to sing/play in a band here in STL

EQUIPMENT

KEYBOARDS –
Casio WK 7500 - My main keyboard. 76 keys, good variety of sounds.
Casio CTK 573 - Beginner Keyboard. 61 keys, older, but great for MIDI and adding extra layers.
Hohner S37 Melodica - relatively new invention. Basically a small, handheld keyboard you blow into. Sounds like something between a harmonica and an accordion, but smoother.

I'm also looking for a good digital piano with 88 realistic keys, something that behaves like a real pianoforte. Also considering a keytar and a vocoder.

MICROPHONES -
MXL 910 - Cardioid vocal studio mic.
MXL 990 (2) - Slightly bigger version of the 910. Sometimes defective.
MXL 991 - Dynamic studio mic for insturments and vocals.
Shure SM58 - Durable live mic. Cardioid.

HAND PERCUSION –
African drums (Djembe, Conga, Bongo)
Tambourine
Egg Shakers

OTHER INSTRUMENTS –
Boss RC-50 Loop Station - Live multi-looper
Also looking for an Effects Station and a Drum Pad
