ABOUT

I am looking for a serious band ( covers and/or originals )that wants to do lots of gigs.If it's only going to be 1 or 2 gigs a week, that's ok,too(or maybe even less for the beginning).I'd like to get right down to business and not waste any time.I play any style of music ( Rock,Heavy Metal,Blues,Funk,Jazz,Latin...),but I would prefer a band in the Rock,Classic Rock,Modern/Alternative Rock,Heavy Metal,Funk,Blues,R&B,Pop field. In Nov of 2011 I moved to L.A. from Boston where I graduated from Berklee College of Music in'00. I moved, because the music scene in Boston had become weak and I found the music industry in L.A to be more promising.Originally I am from Germany.I am very reliable, dedicated and passionate about my music and I got a lot of experience playing live and in the studio with cover, original and tribute bands.I've got energy, groove, chops and I will travel.I'd like to join a band where we share a common goal - to play a lot of gigs and have a good time! Aren't we all looking for that !!! I live in Agoura Hills, but for a good band I am willing to travel to rehearsals and etc. of course. I would describe myself as a positive, outgoing, friendly person without an ego( I am a team player),but I'd like to be respected just like anybody else.

Influences

I've been influenced by many bands and drummers. There's so many great bands.I respect pretty much any kind and style of music. If I like everything,is another story, but at least I respect it.Music is there to bring people together peacefully and to have a good time together,so people should respect each other in order to make that possible I think. To narrow it down,my favorite bands are:The Sweet,The Who,The Beatles,AC/DC,Tom Petty,Foreigner,Cheap Trick,Def Leppard,Ramones,Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Saxon,Judas Priest,Iron Maiden...I also like the old 50's and 60's Rock'n Roll and R&B(without those, music wouldn't have gotten very far I think) as well as some newer Modern/Alternative Rock. There's so much great music out there! The same with drummers. There are so many great drummers out there. My favorite drummer of all time is Mick Tucker from The Sweet.I grew up listening to him a lot. Then there is Dave Weckl,Steve Gadd,Tommy Aldridge,Phil Rudd,Stan Lynch,Terry Bozzio,Thomas Lang ( longtime friend of mine),Gregg Bissonette,Ray Luzier,Ringo,Ian Paice,Bill Ward,Cozy Powell,Billy Cobham,Kenny Aronoff and the list goes on an on.I admire them all !

EQUIPMENT

I sold a few drum sets before I moved to L.A. to generate money.Currently,I got a 9 piece Yamaha recording custom drum set( 20th anniversary series)and a huge high end Pearl drum kit.I got tons of Paiste cymbals ( Signature,Dimensions and 2002 series)as well as Sabian cymbals. Now you know enough about me - give me a call.
