The Umbrella Men are a group of professional musicians pursuing a "passion project" to bring the best high energy power blues rock, funk, soul, and FUN to the people. Many of the greatest artists of all time went largely unnoticed by mainstream media. We seek to correct this by engaging the audience into having fun with this material.

The sold-out debut at the Blue Rock Cafe in Hudson was a smashing success. We have since played a handful of clubs and events in and around the Cleveland/Akron area. In August we played the international event called Twins Days Festival in Twinsburg Ohio. Estimated crowd was 15,000 people.

We are seeking Saturday concerts, either multi-band or openers to get our "brand" out there. We are also interested in weekend gigs where the crowd is appreciative of blues/rock music. We are also available for any outdoor (covered stage) events or indoor concerts, poker runs, fairs, or fundraisers for a good cause.

We have a diverse song list covering the best of blues and blues/rock artists both past & present, with a little bit of funk, soul, and rock & roll thrown in for good measure.

We are based in the Akron/Cleveland area of Northeast Ohio. If you wish to hire The Umbrella Men for an event, please email me at the email above or

Other projects in the works, for the right female voice where you can bring passion to the stage, share it with the people, and own it. Think Sass Jordan, Beth Hart, Janis, etc.

Next up is a twist on Celtic. Seeking a violin, cello, or other classical instrument, used for rock, prog, jazz, fusion. If you can get inside that without too much explanation, then we need to talk.

The Umbrella Men have a diverse background. From touring musicians, to show musicians, to top-40 band musicians, to original writing and performing musicians, we have a collective 100+ years in the music business. We now do this as a passion. We all work professionally during the week, so this is a serious disciplined work ethic that we choose to do, to have FUN, and bring it to the people.

In regards to my drumming career, I have been influenced by everyone from early prog to neo prog, rock, classic rock, blues, blues/rock, progressive jazz, jazz fusion, symphonic and orchestral rock, etc.... Mostly followed drummers like Bill Bruford, Gavin Harrison, Tal Bergman, Simon Phillips, Neil Peart, Cozy Powell, Carl Palmer, Vinnie Colaiuta, Alan White, etc..
