I have been an active member of the Buffalo music scene since 1997, and have played in a few higher profile local original acts like Girlpope, The Found, Dai Atlas, and the Missing Planes, performing on guitars, bass and keyboard, as well as covering lead and backing vocals. Those bands have band in many genres, like power pop, stoner rock, indie, and psychedelic blues.
I've also done a few studio jobs as well, including the recent release by Handome Jack on Alive Naturalsound Records, where I wrote and performed saxophone and keyboard parts for a few tracks.
Looking to start at least one band (://bandmix/vermilion) that would have a heavy emphasis on songwriting and recording in the super-subgenre of music that's tucked in between stoner and prog and post-hardcore and psychadelic and atmospheric. Looking to perform as well, but in new avenues, such as live streaming. Traditional gigging is fine, but touring might be difficult right now for me (family, job). So trying to find a new way to do things.
I currently have a full recording setup for demoing at will, using Apple Logic, a few Blue mics, and a Focusrite Clarett 8 Pre. I also have contacts at GCR Studios as well as links to other people in the area that we could work with when recording, including Sean McVay from King Buffalo.
