Hi,

My name is Tom and I'm looking to jam with some local musicians in the Westford, MA area.

Personal stats: I’m 47, have a couple great kids, good career and live in Westford. I started playing guitar and bass just over two years ago and am now focusing solely on the bass. Obviously, I’m not a seasoned pro, but I’m committed to getting good.

I’m hoping to find/form a local group of musicians who can meet weekly or bi-weekly or whenever. I can provide playing space or could travel to yours.

I take instruction in Groton. I practice most nights, 1/2 hour or more, work on my lessons, jam along with my drum machine and record bass-lines on my Jamman or with Cubase along the way. That's fun, but doing it with others would be so much better ;-)

I'm interested in playing just about any kind of music, rock, blues, jazz, country - it really doesn't matter to me, I'm open to anything. Playing electric or acoustic doesn’t really matter either at this point as I enjoy both.

I played in a serious and committed stage band in my teens. The band included percussion, trumpets, trombones, guitars. I was a baritone horn and trombone player then. We practiced hard and got good, so I know what it takes to get good musically as a group. I have good musical timing, rhythmic and harmonic sense. I have some theory and enjoy studying it often.
