ABOUT

I left my band last december, and I'm looking for a good project to get involved in. I've been playing for about 15 years. I'm a graduate of the LA Music Academy, where I studied music theory and performance. I'm professional, a quick study, good improviser, and take a lot of pride in my sound.

I am a freak about my tone, and I'm told that it shows.

Influences

I would have put a lot more under the "Music Genre" caregory, but I was only allowed 3. I'm able to play a wide range of styles. I have experience in blues, jazz, various styles of rock (alternative, classic, etc.), fusion, gospel, funk, and r&b.

I'm into quite a variety. But I guess everyone says they are, right? ;)
Some of the stuff I'm into are (in no particular order) The Beatles, U2, Frank Black, Radiohead, The Bad Plus, The Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eats World, Frou Frou, Brand New Heavies, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Pink Floyd, DMB, Incubus, Dave Brubeck, Dire Straights, Steeley Dan, Marcus Miller, Peter Gabriel, The Police, Stevie Wonder, and The Yellowjackets.

A couple guitarists I really dig are Joe Pass, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton (Steeley Dan), Eric Johnson, Carl Verheyen, Al McKay (Earth, Wind, & Fire), Hendrix, Santana, SRV, and The Edge.
