ABOUT

I NEED A BAND!!!!! The old band dissolved and I need a NEW BAND close to or in Greenville!!!!
I'm 58 and have been playing guitar since I was 15. I began on cello, took guitar lessons and played rhythm for most of my music years; switched to bass and have continued to play bass and cello over the years. I played rhythm guitar till I was in my 30s and then switched over to lead...mostly. I do lead and back-up vocals too. Ancient credits??: Toured with AK-47 as rhythm guitar/keyboards, played with Joe Walsh's brother Mark Walsh for 3 1/2 years doing Steely Dan-flavored covers, originals and a bunch of classic rock stuff like Traffic, Maroon 5, Clapton and, of course, Eagles. Hell, we did stuff by the Pussycat Dolls, Floyd and Vince Giraldi!! Also did a bunch of jazz and jazz-flavored tunes. Recently, (IN Greenville), I played bass with Vance "Big Boy" Moore in his last band. I'm looking for a small unit: basically a bass, a guitarist, a drummer and a multi-keyboardist. I've got multiple art degrees, have been a graphic artist for over 30 years, have done studio recording, live shows, have toured, can read music, and the musical genres noted above are a small sample of what I'm into. I'd LOVE to find an avant/prog/weirdo drummer/percussionist and a matching keyboard player, (special props if the keyboard player is a girl!!). I listen to the Stones, Cranberries, Eurythymics, Johnny Lang, Clapton, AC/DC, Mott The Hoople, Bowie, ZZ Top, Roxy Music, the Lords of Acid, and was the guitar/bass part of a Steely Dan- flavored duo and of a "Prince/Lords Of Acid"/synth/techno duo with 3 female vocalists back in the late '80s. When I was in NC before, I did 4+ years with a C+W band, and 2 with a county symphony orchestra; I can do lead or backup vocals, write my own music, do lyrics, do and design ALL band-related graphics and promo media and my full bio can be seen in any year of Who's Who In America under "Tony Max Nance". I''m looking for a local band/bunch of people to play with; pretty much any style of music, distorted cover tunes, originals, just about anything!!
