looking for collaborators to create original progressive rock music.
this is my primary hobby (or more than a hobby eventually?), so I make lots of time for it. really focused on finding a few people who are seriously into the creative process, and not necessarily so focused on immediate live performance... maybe a studio band kinda thing initially? I listen to a very broad range of music, including jazz, classical and like to incorporate unusual themes, instrumentation and structure into progressive rock songs. The way i write songs is probably sort of unusual -- I do detailed musical sketches, like an artist doing sketches for a painting. so some of my song examples may seem complete, but they're just starting points for collaboration. I also enjoy re-interpreting songs, like the way Hendrix did with Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower. I'd describe my musical style as a blend of Rush, Zeppelin and Floyd with an emphasis on longer, thematic, atmospheric and psychedelic original songs. not too much interested in doing pure covers... most of the music I really like is stuff I want to sit back and listen to, rather than attempt to play it. Get in touch. What have you got to lose?

what I play varies with mood: Fender Jag, Gibson ES 330, Hag Swede, G&L S-500, and others. I've gone back to using a pedal board composed of individual pedals with an emphasis on reverb and delay. I've become more interested in synths, virtual synths, MIDI and incorporating unusual instrumentation into progressive/hard rock songs.
