Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Piano.

I'm a committed guitarist with many years of gigging, writing and recording in various bands (covers and originals).

My ultimate goal is to continue pursuing music full-time. I'm searching for a partner/team to take things to the next level. Whatever that means for us - playing 100+ shows per year? possible touring?

I'm an hour+ from the city (St. Charles) but I moved out to the Chicagoland area to play music, so I understand that a commute will likely be part of it. For the right band, I'll do what it takes.

I love to improvise and stretch things out live. Not so much interested in playing to a click or doing things exactly the same way each time a song is played. I've been playing with a great cover band that does things this way and it's too mechanical for the way I hope for songs to breathe in a live performance.

Most genres are on the table for me, though I will say that I am not a country, jazz, or metal specialist.

My main influences come from a giant blender of rock and roll, pop, alternative 90's, along with a smattering of soul, blues, and even some hints of jazzy chords and elements.

I'm an alright vocalist, I have pretty good pitch and sang as part of a harmony trio in my last group. I could make for a solid support but not looking for lead vocal duties, unless it's part of a cover band situation where it's a shared effort.

If you watch the cover band video, I sing a little bit toward the end. Also, the harmony vocals on "Color Outside the Lines" are mine, as well as the harmonies in "Red Handed," also part of the group vocal in "Easy Love."

I pull elements of influence from nearly all decades and most genres, here is a little sampler of things that, at one point in time, I was drawn to... I don't necessarily listen to any of this on a regular basis anymore, because there is so much music out there... but these are more of foundational elements (riffs, progressions, moods, phrasing) that I have learned from over the years.

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Incubus, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Chris Stapleton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Sinatra, The Smashing Pumpkins, Guster, TAUK, A Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Regina Spektor, Carlos Santana, Rage Against the Machine, Counting Crows, Julian Lage, Boston, Jimi Hendrix, Gin Blossoms, Nirvana, The Doors, Sublime, Cake, TONS of other artists spanning the genres of Motown/soul / Jazz / Hip hop / blues / funk / jam bands.

None of these groups necessarily sound the way that I want to, it's just a list of artists that I've taken interest in over the years. I hope to do something original, at a high level, that pulls from many of those sounds and textures to create something unique.
