I’m Trevor Tuck,

My style on the kit is jammy with an Indy, Folk and Pop influence. My “other percussion” is more worldly and from the heart”

Some musical influences - St Vincent, MisterWives, The Oh Hello’s, Judah and the Lion, Lewis Del Mar, Ziggy Alberts, Ben Howard, The Black Keys, Volcano Choir, Nahko and Medicine for the People. But honestly the list is too long.

I fell in love with music at a young age jamming with my brothers and learning new instruments any chance we could get. I picked up drumming on a kit first then I discovered the djembe, cajon and bongos, each quickly becoming my focus and joy. I’ve been playing off and on (more on recently) for the last 25 years. Also I LUV the saxophone (but I’m not that good) same with guitar and ukulele. I’m planning on learning the hand-pan next.

The bands I’ve played in have all been small and full of passionate musicians and artists but not totally dedicated to go beyond jamming mostly in it for the passion and soul care. We never had real band names but would love gathering to play at a local coffee shop or pulling together a gathering around the fire for a party with friends, jamming and loving life.

Today, I’m drumming at the drumbox in Lafayette since I don’t (currently) have my own kit. Using this time, I’m getting better and honing my skills but honestly it’s soul care and an outlet, it’s what I love to do. I also have my djembe and cajón and jam out on those anytime I need to connect and get into the rhythm.

I’d like to find a band or some people that want to jam and gig and spread some joy and power of music, rhythm and community.
