Raised in New Orleans. Played first professional gigs at 14. Learned jazz guitar progressions and played standards, later influenced by Beatles, Dylan, Beachboys,Clapton, Hendrix, Elton John, CSN, Eagles, etc. In 70's focused on acoustic music of James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Ry Cooder, Taj Majal, Doc Watson. Earned bachelors and master's degrees in classical guitar performance in UT System; taught and administered ed. programs at UT for 28 years while performing. Retired and moved to Rockport in 2010. Looking for excellent musicians who have deep commitment to music and can improvise over chord changes. Focusing now on writing original music, recording in home studio, performing and possibly some teaching.
