ABOUT

I've played all styles in the past 30-some years. I prefer classic rock or Tejano, but I will also play country, jazz, R&B or pop. Just to clarify, I play bass, and double on keys, and really like to play both, not just one or the other. When I play keys, I play left hand ("touch") bass, usually on songs where the bass part is not very demanding.

I sing lead and backup, and can supply a harmony part, as long as I have a melody and chords to work with. I have a great sense of timing, and hopefully will find a band with a drummer to match that.

I enjoy being on stage, and love to work the crowd.

Past Events

My New Year's Eve band for this year, Steel Belted Radio, will be getting ready for our 12/31/14 gig at Big Bob's Burgers - the NEW location - this Sunday afternoon, from 1:30-4:30pm. There's supposed to be free pizza and beer, but I don't know the details on that, or how long it will last.

Come on out and hear some great classic rock, as performed by Roland Ruis, Hector Reyes, Rick Upton, Tim McKee, and me, Tim Specht.

See you there!

Come out and rock with me and 21 Black at The Trap in San Antonio. We play your favorite classic rock songs, and songs from our CD "Now Is The Time".

We'll have t-shirts and bumper stickers up for grabs, so come on out and get yours, and rock with 21 Black at The Trap!
