ABOUT

Confront Magazine gave our new album 5 out of 5 stars!

Two Cheers recently relocated from Detroit to Los Angeles, and we need a few musicians! We haven’t played a show here yet but plan to start playing gigs ASAP once we find some new people.

At the moment we are about to start a PR campaign to get the word out on our new singles and new album which will be released soon.

The ultimate goal is to be a well-respected and successful indie band, touring regularly and releasing as much music as possible. People who are familiar with the venues and the scene around here would be much appreciated.

We’ve been playing catchy, arty, guitar & beat & bass driven indie rock, but please note that we are moving towards incorporating electronic stuff and elements of pop, synths, samples, and other instruments a la Bjork, Jacob Collier, Thom Yorke, etc.

especially the new material: s:///two-cheers/sets/rearview-lp-1/s-VibFa

These are songs that can be reworked in a million different ways and still maintain their identity, so listen with your imagination and in terms of what you could bring to the table! I am pretty much rehearsed and ready to go.

As I mentioned, the next incarnation of the band is not necessarily going to stick to the drums, guitar, bass format. I am looking for more eclectic and interesting ways to perform and write these songs, including using drum machine, samples, more synths, other acoustic instruments like upright bass, violin, saxophone… All depending on who I can find. Multi-Instrumentalists most welcome!

Looking for players roughly between the ages of 25-35, but I have an open mind if something clicks.

Drummers - who are comfortable playing live drums and also electronic kits and sample triggers
Guitarists - rhythm and melodic lead
Bass players
Keyboard
I am really flexible, so if you like the music and play saxophone, or trumpet, or something maybe we can make it work!

As far as the band dynamics, we are looking for people who can take parts already written and embellish them to make them their own, and also write their own parts and contribute to song ideas that fit in with the paradigm of the band once they are established within the band.
