SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
Been in and out of music for over 45 years. My last gigging bar band was in the MD/DC/VA region (2004-2007). Some pictures uploaded. I can share a few videos of that band. I have also recorded (bass) with one of my son's bands, who did a small stint on the Warped Tour (song samples uploaded). Since then, I've been part of a couple for-fun Rush tribute "projects".
OK ... enough of "then" and on to "NOW."
I've just recently retired from my full-time career. Been working on building a small home studio to record an album's worth of original material.
I'm here to find a part-time cover band who needs a friendly, fun, and competent bassist with solid back-up vocal abilities.
I do my band "homework," practice hard, play hard, and live up to my band commitments. I expect the same in return.
How much commitment? For me, the right band would want to sound very close to original on covers, but not so anal as to suck the joy out of playing. Taking a different approach to a cover, as well as playing originals, works for me, too. Looking for a band that practices about 3-6 times a month and gigs on average 2 times per month.
