Ukulena is a Russian-American artist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, and entertainer.

“Ukulena” is a play-on words of the artists name, Marlena, and her main instrument, the ukulele!

Growing up spinning on Jimmy Durante’s piano stool that was gifted to her great-grandmother, Theone, the mysterious “Mrs. Calabash”; she has been song-writing, singing & recording since before she can remember, in the arms of her father, Igor Khramov (of bands: Limpopo & the Red Elvises). She learned ukulele in Hawaii at just age 5 or 6 and has been performing professionally since age 13.

She has a show-stopping, head-turning presence.

She can light up any tiki bar with her siren voice & strums on her ukulele. She can blow off any roof with her soulful voice & full band! She can also perform an entire Selena experience with her 6-piece Cumbia band! Meet Marlena Lorèn Khramova, making the scene as Ukulena! Orange County’s Pineapple Princess, and Southern California’s Ukulele Queen!

She’s always on the prowl lookin’ for new band mates and venues!

For her ‘Ukulena’ band (that performs a lot of her original songs, classic covers, and sometimes cool new covers as well, but everything she does, she makes it her own), she sometimes needs, lead guitar, bass or upright bass, and drums a lot. She plays rhythm on her ukulele so she doesn’t need any rhythm guitar. But lead guitar, bass, drums sometimes!!!

For her Selena Tribute, she usually has a 6 piece cumbia band, including her, so 5 backing players, keyboards is most important with Selena’s music, so that’s an instrument always needed, plus lead Chris Peres guitar, bass, drums, and most important, percussion!
