ABOUT
Uncle Flatty is a Connecticut based four-piece Americana Alt-Country Rock outfit. Our brand of music ranges in feel from the unhinged power of Neil Young’s electric eras to the down-homey rawness of the Gourds; from the sometimes straight ahead rock feel of Wilco to the introspective minimalism of the Velvet Underground. With instrumentation that mixes pedal steel, mandolin and the occasional banjo with the usual 4 piece rock band, Uncle Flatty brings a fresh perspective to the traditional sounds and feel of the American musical traditions.
The follow up to our first studio recording, "Sad Songs & Wildflowers", is currently in production and due for release in April of 2012.
