ABOUT

Simply put, U-Radical is a high energy reggae show band that is arguably one of the most entertaining outfits currently on the live music circuit. With potent Rasta vibes and raw sound power, they in no way stop short of delivering the “feel good” reggae experience to audiences small and large with each and every performance of their distinct brand of groovy roots rock-steady niceness.
As such, the band’s repertoire features an endless selection of contemporary hits & current reggae chart topping riddims, foundation one drop roots classics, all time celebration favorites, and some top 40 covers, peppered here and there with originals for just the right flavor.
Easily identified by its urgent vocals, bubbling rhythm section, and edgy leads, the U-Radical sound represents genuine enthusiasm and passion for playing, as well as keen musicianship earned over the years gigging at bars, nightclubs, restaurants, back yards, festivals, and assorted corporate and private events.
An international act in its own humble way, its members hail from the Eastern Caribbean Nature Island of Dominica, by way of Central Florida, tribute the fact that formidable reggae talent can be cultivated outside Jamaica, and even the more so, that the Rastafarian experience is universal.
Likewise, its members can be proud of individual resumes that include touring mix engineer gigs for the likes of Culture and Moja Nya, backing artists like Joseph Hill, Bankie Banx, Jahson, and Everton Blender, opening for Damian and Stephen Marley, Inner Circle, Maxi Priest, and Pato Banton, as well as playing with popular Antillean bands such as Midnight Groovers, Exile One, and Liquid Ice.
Currently working on their debut release “Minds Made Up” (geared for pre-summer 2008 release), in between doing shows, U-Radical feels no way to walk away with the title of “hardest working band”. Therefore to support the project, relentless gigging, including a couple of road trips and festivals are in the forecast for 2008.
