Urban Blu is one of the newest and hottest jazz / funk Producer/Musician around the Atlanta area. With heart throbbing bass rhythms, foot tapping drumbeats, melodic keyboard riffs, guitar strumming licks, sax-o-matic notes and vocals that will surely touch the soul. This versital and dynanmic funk jazz urban music style is the brain child of multi-instrumentalist/Producer Dez Billingslea. Dez's creative approach to jazz and funk is so unique that he has been compared to the likes of Incognito, Najee, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller and Rick Braun just to name a few. Even though he's mostly known mostly for is funkish drumming style, he's also an renowned bass player, saxophonist, fluitest and keyboardist.
