Band:
I have a ton of ideas, and I'm a leader - I want to bring together a group of 5-6 musicians to slam out some metal, melt faces, change lives, and make a ton of money along the way.
I'm forming my own original band, writing/playing all original music, so I need a guitarist and bassist who know their instruments and can think freely, and also a vocalist who likes wordplay. Drummer & Jam space are signed on if I can get this going quickly.
Me:
I was once told that my music is "too metal," for what that's worth. I'd consider my music to be akin to classic Metallica and Megadeth on a 7 string with the attitude of Slipknot.
I'm sick and tired of working hourly/salary for somebody else, and I'm bored of playing other people's music, so it's about time that I work for myself doing what I know, and what I actually love: Make heavy metal music.
If bands can sell out crowded venues and make even more money selling hockey pucks, wigs, and t-shirts, then Why Can't I? If these people are slamming out METAL in their 40's, 50's, and 60's, then Why Can't I?
