Valarie DeLorm, Vocalist / Lyricist / Lead Singer / Songwriter

I have been singing since the age of six years old and sang in choir
from the third grade through the seventh. I auditioned and was admitted
to the School of the Arts in 7th grade. Throughout school, I performed
in many musicals and led with vocal solos through my senior year.
I was in my first band when I was 17 years old, and started writing lyrics.
I have been working and writing with single musicians and bands ever since.

I am inspired by my mom who started a band when I was ten years old, so
I studied and learned from her as well. She would come up with vocal melodies
at night and then the lead guitarist would put music to it the next day.
She would also collaborate with her lead guitarist as well, writing
lyrics to what he played and so on.

In my career as a vocalist, I did not just want to be some pop singer and sing trite
or meaningless songs. I always wanted to ask more out of myself than that. I have
worked hard to write lyrics and to become a diverse singer.

I am looking for someone who loves to play guitar the way I love to sing
and wants an adventure full of fun and hard work where we influence each
other and guide one another to make great music and songs

I recently moved from Rochester NY to Seattle in order to take advantage of the
musical diversity and opportunity here. I moved here to find a lead guitarist
to form a band with or to work with as a duo.
