This project is a little different then the cookie-cutter, sh*t fest that is today's "metal" scene.

I am a guitarist of about 7 years. I was a session guitarist for the black metal band Sin Origin for about 6 months.

A friend and myself are looking to start a band that isn't what is typically being pushed into our ears nowadays. We want to start a really epic sounding metal band the uses female vocals, male vocals, keyboards - the works.

We need a female vocalists and/or male vocalist with darkness in their voice (ala Cradle, Dimmu, morbid angel, etc.) but can be clean, too, (ala Opeth or Type O Negative).

We also need a drummer with some talent (most drummers today think that playing a 8 piece and being able to hit double bass really fast equals being a good drummer. No.)

We need a bassist and also, a Keyboardist as well. Another guitarist would be great, too.

My comrade is very good at making ambiance and noises, so the atmosphere on the tracks will be really creepy or really pristine.

We are both 19 and are going to attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I don't start until October, though.

The influences listed are a well-rounded example of what we listen to and are inspired by.

We have a lot likes and a lot of dislikes and this list is a well rounded understanding of what our general influences include.

What we don't want. We don't want children and by that I mean people that see Bam Margera as a good thing and Carson Daily as a Savior. We don't want anyone that has a closed mind. We're not the best, but we are good enough to do this. We also do not want people that are drug attics. If your vice has anything to do with or pertain to pot, crack, twang weasels, flabbergasts or whatever the hell else these half-wits are on, we want nothing of it in our band or around us. Cigs and drinking can be done at your leisure so long as it doesn't conflict with the band.
We don't want any hardcore, metalcore, grindcore, or anything 'core' in our band. We don't want religious freaks either. We detest the crutch that is main stream religion. Pagan or wiccan culture is as far as we go when it comes to a group that worships.
