Van Heineken is a classic Van Halen tribute band playing only music from the David Lee Roth era. What started out as a one-time, tongue-in-cheek protest against Sammy Hagar rejoining Van Halen and embarking on a 2004 tour became something more.
Van Heineken has played live on Atlanta's 99X morning show and at the legendary Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves.
Van Heineken is more of a stage show than a group of guys playing covers. We perform in full costume and assume the identity of our respective characters. We have sexy, female go-go dancers, dwarf security guards and zany stage antics. Imagine Spinal Tap meets old-school Van Halen. The music is only part of the total package. The band loves Van Halen music and wants to play it well. But let’s face it -- we ain’t Van Halen. But we bring the party in the same way classic Van Halen used to.
