Not sure how their lines running to the tech booth could be crystal clear for the track output and crackly-echoes from the mic, but these are the mysteries of The Sound Guy Who Never Shows Up Early Enough For Mic Check. You all know how much he gets around. ;)

ABOUT

Living the dream!

Summer schedule: spending 15ish hours a week doing office administration/ gig booking for my business, and 15ish hours during the daytimes with gigs themselves.

Night times (and some afternoons, by appointment) are relatively flexible.

In the late summer and fall, Miss Vulva Va-Voom (R-rated version, not her daytime counterpart) will be back onstage on a more regular basis.

By early fall, our business will be in a position to occasionally book RELIABLE solo and duet experienced gigging musicians for daytime appearances. BYO gear, arrive 25 minutes early, 10-20 minute tear down and load out. Pay will be approx. $50 to $80, depending on venue.

As for me, I am always happy to pick up band work as a lead (preferably backup) vocalist. Performing is fun. Performing feeds my soul and pays my bills, but money talks and bull$#!+ walks.

CURRENTLY. BOOKED. AND. PERFORMING. ACTS. ONLY.

I am happy to learn a less common set list for a gig that takes 4 or 5 hours of valuable rehearsal time to learn . . .if and only IF the time spent learning that material is solidly booked with multiple paying gigs in the NEAR future.

I am not interested in learning obscure hipster B-sides, vuvuzela chants of west Africa, sexy organ hits of the 50s, or YOUR band's large catalogue of originals unless professional musicians compensate other professional musicians in a timely fashion. The rehearsal and performance time of pro's is how we pay our rent, so show me the money, the set list, and the existing bookings.

Apologies for the harshness of this statement, but I've been getting paid to perform since 1999, and we've all been burned multiple times since then.

For BACKUP VOCALS: I know a lot of the usual classic rock and 80s hits, and can improvise harmony in real time. Backup vocals of "normal" cover set lists are much easier in terms of time commitment. The complexity/obscurity of the set list is the variable that effects how much time it will take me to learn.

As for my solo stuff, my burlesque schtick and cabaret numbers are always available to book as a featured opener for your show, $100 deposit due 7 business days before the event. Set lists vary from 4 to 15 minutes. If you need a longer or multiple sets, I have valued, reliable, high quality colleagues who can join me.
