ABOUT

VenEmus started his musical career at the tender age of 8 years old in his native land of Jamaica.
While in High School he learned to play several instruments including the violin, bass guitar, drums, saxophone and trumpet. When he graduated High School he started a career in the Jamaican military, where he added the French horn and trombone to his repertoire.
He played keyboard in the Defiance Band of which all members were serving military personnel. They achieved modest success as a show/backing band opening for local superstars such as General Trees, Lt. Stitchie and Papa San. After leaving the army he was hired as keyboard player in the U7 band by Warren & Everett Thompson, backing several prominent entertainers and landed a tour to Chile.
In 1995 he migrated to the United States and was a member of the Vengeance Band who toured the Dominican Republic with Absolute, Anthony Cruz and Honorebel. They also played at the prestigious Black and White ball in Ft. Lauderdale and backed Doug E. Mack and MC Original Black Pantah
In 2001, he relocated to Orlando, FL and in 2004 he reunite with Black Pantah and worked on Project Reggaeologist, which landed a deal with Tropical-Def-Jam records.
