SEEKING

Vocalist, Lead Guitar.

ABOUT

Rhythm/Lead Guitarist, Bass Guitar, and Drummer are looking for a Vocalist and a Lead Guitarist.

We are a new band out of Huntington/Proctorville. The plan is to play a set of originals and covers. We cover a wide variety of bands such as: Alice N Chains, Hurt, Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera, Black Stone Cherry.

As for originals, it'll likely be something heavy and bluesy. We're thinking clutch meets Black Sabbath meets Mastodon or Intronaut. Heavy guitar, some soloing, and a thick groove.

A vocalist will need to be able to cover music with an edge or screaming, but have a singing voice to handle the above bands. A good singer and weak edge, or a good edge and weak singer won't work.

A lead guitar would be expected to handle the leads for these bands (not In-Flames, but if you can do that that'd be sweet). You will also be trading some leads with the rhythm guitarist.

We've been playing weekly since about December 2008, but have played no gigs as of yet. We generally practice Wednesday evenings, and try to get a Friday or weekend day as well.

Members Of Band

Members range from 26-32 years old, and are regular 9-5 job types. We aren't trying to live on band income or anything like that. We want to have fun playing music, and try to book some shows locally. However, we are very committed to doing this. We don't want someone who either cancels frequently, or disappears and won't return a call while we sit around wondering what's up.

If you smoke pot frequently or expect to do it at practice or before a show, please don't bother. Beer, and people knowing their limits with drinking is as far as we'll go.

EQUIPMENT

Amps, guitars, drums..all good stuff. We have a 16 channel Yamaha USB mixer + laptop for recording, along with a Roland 8 channel hard drive mixer.

We're using the previous vocalist's P.A. until he decides to come and get it. We're planning to buy one soon, though. It's not a problem.

You will need your own instrument and amplifier, and your own transportation.
