ABOUT

I started taking guitar lessons in 1964. I started my first band, and started playing paying gigs by 1966. I started out as a lead singer playing percussions, rhythm guitar, and some keyboards. In 1968 our bass player died, so I started playing bass. In 1970 I became a Christian and was recruited into a Christian rock band that toured with an evangalist. After getting out of the service in1975, I went back to playing with rock bands, solo, & duet acoustic gigs. I went to Middle Tennessee State University in the late 70's & early 80's studing to become a recording engineer. I'm a triple asset: musician, sound man, and recording engineer.

EQUIPMENT

Everyt instrument to form a rock band, except for a drum kit. A complete PA (yes, complete!!!) And a 24 track digital recording machine for inhouse and live recordings. When I say every insrument I mean mulitple electic basses, electric guitars, 6 sring acoutics, 12 sting electric/ acoustic, keyboards, percustions (including conga drums,) No $ was spared on anything I purchased ( my brother who has been a musicain longer than me; knows all of the members of ZZ Top since long before they were famous, knows and played with Joe Ely before he made it, played with Johnny Winters, and the list goes on) thinks I'm crazy for putting out all of the cash I have on instruments for my recording business.
