ABOUT

I am a vocalist based out of Orem, UT. Singing for a band has always been a dream of mine, and I'm moving forward with trying to make that dream a reality. I've spent the last few years working hard on my voice, pushing more and more of a power/symphonic metal sound. I like to sing big, loud, and powerful, and I love to entertain and put on a show.

Influences

My main metal vocal influences include artists like Kamelot, Beast in Black, Nightwish, Powerwolf, Sabaton, Trivium, Static-X, Cory Taylor in general, and many others. I pull from a pretty diverse musical background beyond that; my dad introduced me to everything from the Beach Boys to Zeppelin to The Doors to Radiohead, while my mom was heavily engrained into the local goth scene and I grew up listening to many electronic and industrial artists like NIN, Assemblage 23, Covenant, and VNV Nation. In my young adulthood my now wife introduced me to metal in a big way, which I've explored heavily over the past twelve years or so.

Shure SM7B Microphone (home recording only)
Compressor, cloudlifter, etc.

For jamming or potential gigs, I intend to pick up a Shure SM58 and do further research on good amplification and other equipment to use with that microphone.
