ABOUT

For reference, I post various short bass cover clips on lnstagram. Nothing too fancy. Username is vincentgrim. I am primarily a bass player.

I am the bass player for a ‘just for fun’ local band in Lake Forest, CA. We’ve only played live a handful of times but it’s been a great experience. I played guitar on and off beginning at the age of 15 but didn’t get serious until I discovered the bass about six years ago. That is my instrument of choice. I also consider myself a decent vocalist. I am known to provide vocals for My Chemical Romance or Pumpkins covers in my current band. That is my vocal range but I also love the opportunity to add screams to a song. I have been singing to a casual extent since I was a child. I am always learning or trying to learn something new.

When it comes to my bass, I’m very laid back. I like to play in the pocket and hold down the rhythm of my current band but love the opportunity to add a fill or two. However, less is more.

Outside of my band, I’m always working on learning my favorite modern metal songs. I have an affinity for modern progressive metal, djent, and horror core. Currently I’m enjoying bands like Vildjharta, After The Burial, Architects, Loathe, Sleep Token, and TeseracT.
